Her name is Spin, named after one of the Druids eight bramble trees, also known as Gooseberry.  Spin was born with the magical ability to give spiders the gift of silk.
Once when Spin was still inexperienced in the ways of her people, she rashly rushed out into the forest to gather berries before
everyone else awoke.  Not watching where she was going she flew right into a huge garden spider's web and got caught in it! Frightened and tangled she fought very hard to release herself but could not, instead the more she fought to release herself the worse she had gotten tangled!  At this point the old garden spider came down and said, " What has gotten caught in my web?  It must be very strong, because most of the silk has broken! The spider came down upon the little faery.  "Please dont hurt me Spider I really did not mean to ruin your web! Exclaimed the little faery!  The old spider gently reached down and helped the little faery free herself from the web.  "I have no silk left!" Cried the spider.  "All I had left to care for myself is gone now.  Oh Dear me I dont know what will happen to me now!" Now the the faery was free, she asked the spider to name her.  "If you name me, It may help, I still do not have a name yet."

The old spider thought and thought..
I will call you Spin,
After the old Gooseberry Tree.
Sacred to the Druids,
Still, it has meaning for me.
For spinning silk is my trade.
Magical sparkling wonder
I spin from blade to blade...
It is beauty, it is beauty.....I have made.
Spin now discovered her gift, she was able to bestow upon the old spider the gift of silk for the rest of her life and passes this gift to every wee spider born.  She dances on webs made just for her by the spiders.    Spin celebrates life and freedom, the transformation of being tangled and feeling chained, only to be set free with purpose!
Spins hair whips around her with a life of its own!
Spin is known as one of the most profound magical names heard and spoken.  Spin is what we do, we spin among the webs of life when we weave our magic.  It is a name of action, motivation, change, growth, magic and transformation.  The web here has been woven in the correct direction.
Ultimately freedom and celebration through transformation!   Can you feel her Joy?
