Skylar the raven and Summerwind his mate tell Raven (a raven faery) about the beginning of how raven faeries came into being. Your Mother carries the pot, from the pot all life flows. I carry the key to the mysteries of the universe. Between your Mother and I we have many stories to tell you. Raven sat on a branch and tentatively listened to his father spin the tale of the beginning of time, of how the animals came into being through the flow of the pot. As his Father tells him the tale a smoky mist flows out of the pot taking shapes. Dolphin, bear,wolf, cougar,horse, buffalo, deer, tree, and eagle take shape out of the mist. Showing Raven what it was like the first time life came into being. Little Raven is enthralled by this story! Now Raven faeries could not always fly, for they had no wings.......Skylar said.
