Early morning sunrise
I walk out to the pond
Been coming here everyday and
for you my hearts grown fond
The water sparkling
as the sun shines high above
And for all of nature’s wondrous things
my heart has filled with love
I discovered a place of beauty
and here I made a friend

I remember the first time I saw you
beneath the surface clear
A flash golden colors
I hoped that you’d come near
The fairies gathered round
and told you it’s ok
And from that day forward
I visit everyday

When I leave the house each sunrise
and Mama asks where do I go
I say that I’ve gone fishin’
without hook, pole or bait “ya know?”
For I found a place inside me
that appreciates every living thing
The friendship that has grown
and the good fortune it does bring.
