The Wise One

Velda is a water dragon knowing for her wisdom, healing and compassion. As the waters flow so does Velda's magic and power. Here at the waterfall is Velda's home. She lives in a cave behind the waterfall. Of all the dragons that ever lived Velda is the most powerful of dragon's and because of her wisdom is a teacher and mentor to many beings.

Alvina, the young girl, has known Velda since she was a wee baby. When Alvina had just learned to walk she somehow managed to get out of the house when her mother's back was turned. Alvina walked into the woods and out of curiosity followed the distant sound of the waterfall. Velda lay that day on a huge boulder enjoying the warmth of the sun snoozing. Soon her dragon senses came alive at the scent and sound of a human child drawing near to her lair. Stretching Velda decided to investigate who was coming. Turning around
she saw the child standing at the edge of the boulder lined waterfall. Faster than lightning Velda grabbed the baby saving her from falling into
the waters below. Alvina giggled looking up into Velda's eyes and instantly a connection was made.

Alvina's parents were so grateful to Velda for what she did that they befriended the Dragon. They never made that mistake again out of love for thier child.

Here Alvina reads from the book of Wisdom. On the cover it says "Love is Wisdom". Within the book are stoires about the healing powers
of intention and how we can effect each others lives in a positive way. Alvina is fortunate and grateful to have a mentor and teacher who sows seeds of kindness and that is what she herself will bring to the world as well.
